Pinzon

Also known as: Duncan

Pinzon is a small island off the west coast of Santa Cruz, about an hour by boat from Puerto Ayora. Its deep drop-off wall suits more experienced divers, while the plateau holds eagle rays, turtles, eels, seahorses and lobsters. Horn sharks and red-lipped batfish are found in the shallows near the rocks. Sea lions, rays and various sharks are seen, mantas appear in the warmer months and pods of dolphins are reported.
