El Barranco

El Barranco is a cliff in Academy Bay, 15 to 20 minutes by boat from Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz. The wall has a small cavern that divers can enter, where lobsters hide. Sea turtles, large schools of salema, rays and blacktip and whitetip sharks are seen along the cliff. Galapagos Dive Academy uses it for divers finishing Open Water or preparing for Advanced.
