Devil's Crown
Also known as: Corona del Diablo · Corona del Diabolo · Onslow
Devil's Crown is a partly submerged volcanic crater off the north coast of Floreana, with jagged rocks breaking the surface. The shallow interior is reserved for snorkellers, so divers explore the outside over sand and huge boulders. Whitetip reef sharks and stingrays rest in the gaps, a garden eel colony lives east of the crown, and fish are so dense they can hide the rocks. On the deeper outer side jacks, Galapagos sharks, hammerheads and turtles appear.
