Underwater Restaurant
Also known as: Red Sea Star
The restaurant was built with most of its rooms below the waterline and panoramic windows onto the reef, but it closed and the building now stands empty at the end of a long footbridge. Corals have grown on the submerged parts, and the area is good for macro life such as nudibranchs, shrimp and small crabs, and Ahla adds frogfish, squid, turtles and octopus. Palma describes a deeper part with coral-covered tables and sculptures on the sand. Because of watersports activity nearby, ScubaGo advises extra care when surfacing.
