El Gehaza

Also known as: Fishermen's Desaster

El Gehaza is an easy beach entry about a ten-minute drive from town, and Dive Champ notes that only a few dive centres go there. A sandy slope leads down to about 10 m and then to a shallow drop-off at 18 m, with small and larger blocks scattered over the sand. The main attraction is a large block at 14 m, where many lionfish gather in a cloud of glassfish. The blocks also shelter shrimps and scorpionfish, while seahorses, Red Sea walkman, pipefish and flatfish live on the sand.
