Cayo Raton
Cayo Raton is rated by Scuba Diving magazine among the ten best dives of Puerto Rico. The reef bends in a half circle, beginning as a flat plateau before falling away to around 18 m. Large numbers of small and mid-sized fish gather here, from queen angelfish and butterflyfish to parrotfish and horse-eye jacks. Peacock flounders hide in the sand, and visibility can exceed 30 m. My Guide Puerto Rico names it, together with Cayo Lobito, as the best dive of the Culebra area.
