Le Tell

Also known as: Tell Roche Fouras

Built at La Seyne for the Compagnie de Navigation Mixte, the Tell had already run aground several times before she was lost carrying lime and empty barrels to Algiers. The wreck is heavily broken up, with bags of cement and a boiler still recognisable among rocks and clean sand. Wannadive notes that an underwater rock between 5 and 14 m separates the bow from the stern. The site is exposed to wind and to frequent motorboat traffic.
