Castle Rocks
Also known as: Castle Rock
The point is nearly an island at high tide, and big boulders and outcrops reach almost to the surface, with gullies and ridges around the point. Long protection from fishing has left the site rich in fish such as red roman, stumpnose and hottentot, and the rocks are crowded with invertebrates. Access is a climb down a path from the main road, so reasonable fitness is needed and entries can be tricky in swell. Most of the area averages around 10 m. Dive Team rates it as best suited to freediving.
