Boat Rock
Granite outcrops and big boulders rise from a coarse shelly sand bottom at about 14 m, with the deepest parts reaching about 22 m. The relief is high, with many gullies, overhangs and small holes under the rocks, most too small to swim through. The reef is best known for its large gorgonian sea fans and sponges, together with the bright invertebrates typical of False Bay. A compact pinnacle called Festival Pinnacle lies just to the south across a small sand gap.
