Gordon's Mooring

Also known as: Gordons Mooring

Gordon's Mooring is a field of smaller bommies with good swim-throughs and overhangs. Brain and plate corals are well represented, and large, long-established giant clam gardens are a feature of the site. Green, hawksbill and loggerhead turtles visit, and nudibranchs and flatworms reward a slow look. In the deeper parts, divers meet humphead Maori wrasse, blue-face angelfish and orange-lined triggerfish. Photographers rate the site highly.
