Lekuan I
Also known as: Likuan I
Lekuan I belongs to the group of three walls in front of Lekuan beach that dive centres call the signature dive of the Bunaken Marine Park. The wall falls away well beyond recreational depth, and its face is broken by small caves, sandy patches, big sponges, sea fans and black coral. Green and hawksbill turtles rest on the ledges, and guides report around ten of them on a single dive. Out in the blue, reef sharks, tuna, napoleon wrasse and eagle rays pass by, while the wall itself hides nudibranchs, shrimp and ghost pipefish. The calm, clear water and a shallow reef top make it a site for both day and night dives.
