Harlingen Wreck

Also known as: Harlingen · Harlinger

The Harlingen was built in 1905 by W. Gray & Co. for J & C Harrison and was sailing in ballast from Buenos Aires to Port Eads, Louisiana, when bad weather drove her onto the Atalaia promontory. Today the hull is broken up at 18 to 27 m. Visibility varies between about 2 and 15 m, and cold upwelling water is common. Dive centres visit it only when conditions are good.
