Saco do Anequim
Also known as: Enseada do Anequim · Anequim Bay
Saco do Anequim mixes the character of the sheltered inner sea with that of the exposed outer coast. Gorgonians grow densely on the rocks, and one local travel site calls it the largest gorgonian colony of the area. Turtles, lobsters and several kinds of rays, including spotted eagle rays and cownose rays, are regularly seen. A rock that looks like the dorsal fin of a shark is said to have given the cove its name. Researchers chose it as one of the two most visited sites when they studied anchor damage on the reef.
