Halaveli Wreck
Also known as: Highly 18
The ship lies on sand roughly 50 metres from the main reef, with its main deck at about 20 metres. Soft corals and sponges now cover the hull, turning it into an artificial reef. Its best-known residents are big blotched fantail rays, joined by red-mouthed groupers, batfish, moray eels and lionfish. Afternoon dives are recommended for the rays, and the wreck also works well as a night dive. Dive centres also use it for wreck diving training.
