American Tanker

This huge concrete barge carried war supplies from the United States to Guam during the Second World War. After the war it was sunk during the construction of the breakwater, and it was apparently meant to become part of that structure, like the barges at nearby Barge Reef. It now lies next to a shallow reef beside the breakwater. Swim-throughs make it friendly for newer divers, and penetration of the deeper sections is for trained wreck divers only. An American flag on the pilothouse is a favourite photo stop.
