Mamsa Point
Also known as: Mamsa
Mamsa is the local word for jacks, and schools of them are often seen in the blue. The dive starts on a sandy floor surrounded by coral, which gives the site the feel of an underwater amphitheatre. Giant frogfish tend to sit on the same sponge for long periods, so guides often know where to find them. Eagle rays glide over the sand, while turtles, moray eels, groupers and Moorish idols live on the surrounding reef. Currents can be present and bring extra activity.
