Cogon

Also known as: Cogon Point

Cogon takes its name from the cogon grass growing along the shore. The current usually runs south, so the site is dived as a drift that carries divers from sand across patchy reef and on to walls. The nutrient-rich water attracts schools of bigeye trevally and, often halfway through the dive, a large school of jacks. Pelagic fish pass in the blue, while filefish, sweetlips, moray eels and turtles stay on the reef.
