The Anvil

Also known as: Landasan Treweng

The site is exposed to the open Savu Sea, which makes it one of SAVU South Alor's favourites for big fish; their first dive here brought a great hammerhead. The reef itself is busy: large tubastrea corals are swarmed by anthias, sweetlips cruise in the current and schools of surgeonfish pass by. Some coral bommies almost disappear in dense clouds of glassfish. The provincial list places it at Treweng in East Pantar with the local name Landasan Treweng.
