Ampera

Ampera is one of about a dozen macro sites inside the bay and a classic black sand slope. Pipefish and many species of nudibranch are common, along with seahorses, shrimps, crabs and frogfish, and rhinopias turn up regularly. Fire urchins on the slope are worth checking, since zebra crabs and pairs of Coleman shrimp shelter between their spines. The maximum depth is around 20 m.
