Bakalang Jetty
Also known as: Bakalang Pier · Bakalang
Two jetties, one old and one new, stand next to each other on a sandy slope off Pantar's north coast. The pillars of the old jetty are overgrown with coral and sponges and shelter batfish and frogfish, while the sand and rubble around them hold waspfish, ghost pipefish, ribbon eels, boxfish, shrimps, crabs and nudibranchs. The structures also make good wide-angle subjects. Visibility is usually good and currents mild, with a maximum depth of about 30 m.
