Dive center Conch Republic Divers Tavernier

Conch Republic Divers operates in the Upper Florida Keys, United States, from Tavernier Creek Marina, running boats to reefs and wrecks between Key Largo and Islamorada. The centre covers more than 41 nautical square miles of reef line, with shallow patch reefs and sites including Molasses Reef, Pickles Reef and the Conch Reef System. Conch Republic Divers visits the Spiegel Grove, a 510-foot troop transport sunk in 2002, and the Duane, which lies upright at about 120 feet and can have strong currents. The centre also dives the Eagle, on its side at about 105 feet, and the SS Benwood, a shallower wreck at 33 to 45 feet with coral growth and abundant sea life. Conch Republic Divers is a PADI 5 Star dive center and primarily teaches in private and semi-private sessions, from introductory dives through Divemaster, with instructors also teaching through NAUI, SSI and SDI. The centre works with iCARE on coral restoration and maintenance.
