The cliff drops close to shore, so the same mooring serves first dives along the rock face, explorations on the first plateau and training down to 40 m. Its faults shelter lobsters, spotted drums, nudibranchs, seahorses, scorpionfish and frogfish among gorgonians and sponges. Just past the point at around 20 m a giant barrel sponge, estimated by Alpha Plongée to be more than a hundred years old, is a landmark. At night basket stars unfurl on the sponges, and schools of squid are often seen near the surface. Fry gather here in April and May.
