Medvidina Cave
Also known as: Medvidina spilja
The cave is about 14 m wide and narrows towards a small beach at its far end, about 160 m inside. Its name comes from the Mediterranean monk seal, called "sea man" on Vis, which used it as a refuge. The seal is now one of the most endangered mammals in the world and is very rarely seen in the Adriatic. Divers reach the cave by boat and dive it to a maximum of about 30 m.
