Potato Reef

After the boat anchors, divers swim around the whole reef in about 30 to 50 minutes, mostly in shallow water down to around 18 to 20 metres. One side has gentle slopes with anemones and soft corals, the other is densely overgrown with sponges and soft corals in brown, red, orange and yellow. Schools of fish, anemonefish, bannerfish and blue jacks swirl just off the reef. Diverland describes the reef as unusual for the Maldives.
