Trou Diable
Also known as: Devil's Hole
The upper part of the site is an intricate maze of channels around large boulders covered in coral and sponges. Below, a steep slope carries big barrel sponges and well developed coral heads, with schools of chromis and grunts in profusion. The Moorings mentions the hole in the rocks that gives the site its name and that divers can swim through. Gold spotted eels, spotted drums and hawksbill turtles are typical, and with luck an ocean sunfish appears. Scuba St. Lucia calls it one of the healthiest reefs you will dive.
