Marsa Bareika
Also known as: Marsa Bereika · Mersa Bareika · Marsa Baryka
Marsa Bareika cuts almost 3 miles into the land and forms the Ras Mohammed peninsula. Camel Dive Club's usual plan starts in a shallow sandy bowl full of small creatures and enters an open canyon whose floor drops in steps, framed by the blue. The walls of the bay carry sea fans, gorgonians and some black coral, and the plateau beyond is dotted with pinnacles where octopus, morays and scorpionfish live. Whale sharks and sailfish are reported in summer and dolphins and stingrays in winter. Parts of the bay are protected as turtle nesting areas.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
