Ras Ghozlani
Also known as: Ras Gozlani · Ras Ghazlani
Ras Ghozlani was long off limits because the beaches inside Marsa Bareika are turtle nesting grounds, and dives are still restricted to the outer side of the reef. There are no moorings, so it is a drift along a sandy slope from about 6 m to a drop-off in the mid-twenties. Huge table corals, pinnacles wrapped in glassfish and soft corals, and sea fans along the edge make it one of the prettiest sites in the park. Turtles are easy to find, and crocodilefish, groupers and blue-spotted stingrays shelter under the table corals. The current is usually gentle.
