Wrack Dixi
Also known as: Dixi - Pfahlbauhaus unter Wasser und Unterwasserkrippe · Segelbootwrack Dixi · Segelbootwrack Dixie
This site on the Seeleiten road near Weyregg combines culture and a wreck. An abstract model of a prehistoric pile dwelling with information boards stands underwater, and from the first Sunday of Advent to Candlemas on 2 February a nativity scene is set up there. Going left past a wrecked boat at about 12 m and over trunks and root stocks, divers reach after some 15 minutes a steep stony gully holding the sailing boat Dixi. To the right, remains of an old wooden jetty run from about 17 m to 20 m, and a bathtub converted into a diving bell hangs at 6 m. The way back over large rocks at around 5 m sometimes passes big pike.
