Beim Löwen

Also known as: Löwendenkmal · Zum Löwen

The site is named after the lion monument by the shore road between Ebensee and Traunkirchen. An uneven, broken wall falls away to about 120 m. A technical dive team described it as vertical at this point, with greenish daylight to about 35 m and darkness below, and a rocky bottom covered in small mussels. They noted a slight current that carried them past the exit. ARGE Tauchen recommends the steep walls of the Traunsee only to practised divers.
