Ngerchong Inside
Also known as: Ngerchong Coral Garden
The reef rises from a sandy slope to the surface and is partly exposed at low tide. Staghorn, table and brain corals cover large areas. Cuttlefish breed here all year and lay white egg clusters among branching corals, and seahorses, nudibranchs, clownfish and turtles are also seen. The boat ties off to one of two moorings, and the shallow depth allows long, relaxed dives. Ngerchong Island itself was once a Palauan settlement and is now uninhabited.
