Cemetery Reef
The reef starts west of a rock island and slopes gently, with hard and soft corals reaching close to the surface. Slow currents through the islands bring nutrients that keep the coral colourful. Fusiliers, anthias and rainbow runners are common, and turtles or sharks may pass. Fish 'n Fins tells that scientists placed a cross-shaped structure on the reef in the 1980s to study coral growth, which gave the site its name.
