Blue Corner

The plateau starts at about 8 m and runs out to sea before the edges fall away as vertical walls. Currents push up over the shelf, and divers hook into the reef at the edge to watch grey reef sharks, barracuda, jacks, snappers, Napoleon wrasse and other pelagics pass by. When the current eases, the dive continues as a drift over the coral-covered plateau, where whitetip sharks often rest on sandy patches. Many dives start at the neighbouring Blue Holes and swim through the cavern to the corner. The current can be very strong, which is why the reef hook became the standard tool here.
