Amphitheatre
Also known as: Amphitheater
Divers walk down the cliff to a small cove and descend over sand, where squid are sometimes seen, to the first amphitheatre at around 9 m. Waves rolling over the rock above create a moving light show inside the bowl. A valley with walls rising to the surface leads on to a second amphitheatre, and the same entry also gives access to The Stage. Atlantic triton's trumpet shells live on the walls, and octopus, moray eels, groupers, trumpetfish, cuttlefish and flounders are regular sightings, with occasional turtles. Sources call it suitable for beginners and even snorkellers as well as for experienced divers.
