Kingfish Point
Also known as: King Fish Point · Kings Fish Point
Kingfish Point takes its name from the many king mackerel that patrol this reef. The reef slopes down to a sandy bottom at about 27 m and is broken by cracks, ledges and overhangs, and Active Caribbean Travel also mentions a large wall. Frommer's singles out its massive boulders of star coral and its deep-water sea fans and sea plumes, together with elephant ear and yellow tube sponges. Large snappers, parrotfish, Spanish hogfish, triggerfish and black durgons are common, and turtles are among the larger visitors. Because of the depth it is usually dived by more experienced divers.
