Deep Plane
Also known as: Plane Deep · Bloody Bay Deep
The Deep Plane is the deeper of Negril's two Cessna wrecks and sits on a sandy bottom ahead of the Bloody Bay reef at around 27 m. According to Scuba Diving magazine the aircraft went down during a drug-smuggling run and was left to sink after its cargo had already been taken off. The cabin was emptied so that divers can look inside, and the propeller lies apart from the fuselage on top of a coral head. The surrounding reef has overhangs, ledges and caverns with sea fans, gorgonians, turtles, barracuda, nurse sharks and morays. Operators recommend it for advanced divers.
