Lovers Point

Also known as: Lover's Point

Lovers Point is the rocky headland between Lovers Cove and Otter Cove in Pacific Grove. Divers entering on the ocean side reach small pinnacles beyond the main kelp canopy in 40 to 50 ft, a useful depth when algae blooms cloud the shallows. A popular longer dive follows the 30 to 35 ft contour east around the point and finishes along the sand channel inside Lovers Cove. Pacific Scuba Divers calls it one of the best dive spots in the bay for its topography and marine life. The beach is exposed, and with waves and a high tide the entry turns into rocks, so conditions need checking first.
