Tombant des Aviateurs
Also known as: Wall of the Aviators · Drop of the Aviators
Several corridors, faults and tunnels cross the reef and lead out onto the wall, with the open ocean beyond. The wall is covered in corals and gorgonians. Lionfish shelter in the cracks, and porcupinefish, spiny lobsters, moray eels and clownfish are also reported. Mayotte Tourisme advises bringing a torch to spot the shyer animals hidden in the crevices. Generation Voyage praises the bright, clear water and says the weak current makes the site accessible to all divers.
