Wied iz-Zurrieq West Reef and Caves

Also known as: Zurrieq West Reef and Caves · Bell Tower Cave

Bell Tower Cave has three entrances stacked above each other, the deepest at about 27 m, while Mouse Hole Cave is named after its narrow entrance at about 25 m. Ledges, boulders and smaller caverns line the reef between sea grass and sand. Away from the reef, a full-size mock brass diving helmet on a concrete block stands on the sand at about 28 m; it was placed on 3 July 2005 by the ATLAM Sub Aqua Club. The helmet also serves as a landmark on the way to the Um El Faroud.
