The Pinnacle

The Pinnacle rises from the floor of the inner Kinasi Pass to just below the surface, a lone stack of ancient coral rock near the last rock islet. Schools of rudderfish, trevally and batfish usually hang around it. A very large potato grouper and a big resident moray live on the rock, and lobsters, turtles and giant reef rays are seen as well. Because it sits in the channel, current is frequent and the site is not suited to every diver. Many dives tour the spire first and then drift on along Kinasi Pass.
