Kinasi Pass
Kinasi Pass is the corridor through which the open ocean feeds Chole Bay, and the tide turns it into a fast drift dive. The pass has two reef walls, a deeper shelving one at about 20 to 26 m and a shallower one at about 6 to 15 m, cut with small caverns and overhangs. Shoals of reef fish, trevally and barracuda can be dense enough to dim the light, and resident giant and potato groupers patrol the rocks. Giant reef rays are regular, while eagle rays and cobia turn up now and then. Dives often begin at the coral spire of the Pinnacle in the inner pass before drifting along the side of the channel.
