Boca de Sebastopol
Also known as: Sebastopol
Boca de Sebastopol is a pass through the outer reef facing the open ocean in the south-east of Los Roques. It is rarely visited, and a trip usually has to be arranged with the dive guide in advance. Operators describe plenty of fish and good odds of seeing sharks and manta rays, and one guide notes shark mating in June. A fish-biology study published in 2010 found possible indirect evidence of mutton snapper spawning aggregations here.
