Blacktip Boulevard
Also known as: Blacktip Blvd.
Blacktip Boulevard takes its name from sightings of blacktip sharks, and Caribbean reef sharks and eagle rays are more frequent visitors; a manta ray has also been reported. The reef slopes gently to the drop-off and is cut by sand grooves where yellowhead jawfish, sand tilefish, garden eels and southern stingrays live. A short swim away is a mini-wall with big barrel sponges and colourful sea fans, and Conch Club Divers count its barrel sponges among the biggest around Little Cayman. Spotted morays and nurse sharks shelter around the coral formations in the sand, and squirrelfish and lobsters hide in deep crevices.
