Eagle Ray Wall

Eagle Ray Wall lies off a tidal cut near the north end of Long Caye, close to Nurse Shark Lodge. Long coral ridges separated by sand gullies run from the shallow reef crest to the wall and act as natural guides for navigation. The wall drops steeply and is covered in corals, red cup sponges and painted tunicates and riddled with holes and grottos. Spotted eagle rays are the attraction and usually cruise just off the wall at around 12 m. Black coral and schools of jacks and snappers are also reported.
