La Grotte aux Couleurs
The boat moors at the foot of a low cliff where protected brown pelicans nest in the trees. Underwater a wall of about 6 m guides divers to a cave covered in sponges of every colour, corals and tube worms. The upper wall is covered with orange cup corals that look yellow when their polyps are open and red when they are withdrawn. Frogfish hide on the sponges, and a small coral garden holds porcupinefish, trumpetfish and surgeonfish. Divers often make their safety stop in front of this colourful wall.
