Timanfaya

Also known as: Timanfaya Reef

The reef takes its name from Timanfaya National Park, and its lava formations reach out into the sand. Along the rocks divers see damselfish, parrotfish, ornate wrasse and island groupers, with octopus, cuttlefish and anemones hidden in the cracks. Rays, garden eels and angel sharks live on the sand next to the reef. Clear water and mild current make it suited to beginners and photographers, and it is often the start of a drift dive towards Flamingo Beach.
