Pechiguera
Also known as: Faro Pechiguera · Pechiguera Lighthouse
A massive rock formation shaped like a pyramid rises from the sand at about 50 m to about 20 m. Together with the strong currents it gathers open-water life, from plankton up to large Atlantic visitors. Divers can choose which side to descend and which to come up, and the site suits drift diving with careful planning. In summer manta rays are reported along with tuna, barracuda and bream, and orange coral and a lava arch are further features. Swell from the open Atlantic means it cannot be dived all year, and few centres go there.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
