El Reino del Sahara

Also known as: El Reino de Sahara

El Reino del Sahara, the Sahara Kingdom, lies next to a large accumulation of sand beside the reef. The dive starts on a rocky coral plain at about 8 m with ridges and scattered coral heads. A small wall drops from about 8 m to 12.5 m and is where the dive usually runs, with a maximum of about 13 m. Yellowtail snapper, barracuda, Nassau grouper, cero, blue tang, queen conch and Caribbean spiny lobster are recorded here, and some fish come close to divers. It is listed at mooring buoy 40 among the recommended El Colony dives.
