Cocoteraie Wreck

Also known as: Épave Cocoteraie · L'épave de la Cocoteraie

The ship once laid cables and was deliberately sunk by its former owner, Raymond Bang, to serve as an artificial reef and dive site. It rests on a sandy bottom close to the coast at around 15 m, so even beginners can explore its exterior. The hull is colonised by soft corals and shelters jacks, lobsters, lionfish, shrimps, fusiliers and large groupers. Stonefish, crocodilefish, pufferfish and octopuses are also reported. Experienced divers can enter the holds, which Madadive mentions as an option depending on ability.
