SG-121 Coast Guard Wreck

Also known as: TCSG-121 · SG 121 · Coastguard Wreck · CG121 · Sahil Güvenlik Batığı

The former coast guard vessel SG-121 was sunk in 2011 through the efforts of Fethiye dive centres and became the area's main wreck dive. European Diving Centre describes a ship of about 40 metres length lying next to a reef, while the dive guide reports that storms and currents have since broken it in two and scattered parts of the bridge and living areas. Large groupers live in the space under the hull and morays are common. Yellow-spotted puffers and double-banded breams follow divers around, and small scad gather at the buoy line. Because the dive stays deep, bottom times are short and the sharp steelwork calls for care.
