Tyrifjord

Also known as: SS Tyrifjord

Tyrifjord was hit in the same air attack as the Lynx and sank a few days later after being towed into Askvoll. Most of the hull is badly broken, so divers concentrate on the stern, where the emergency steering wheel and the steering house still stand. The wreck is marked on the nautical chart and can be found with an echo sounder, and laying a shot line helps on the descent and the ascent. A boat is needed to reach the site.
